Lyra Quartet

Based in Montreal, the Lyra Quartet (2023-2025) is praised as “both rigorous and profoundly human.” Their performances feature an emotional depth and cohesion to suggest the quartet is “breathing from the same breath” (Pan M 360). Lyra approaches chamber music as storytelling, striving to create deep connections with audiences and musicians alike.
Mentored by Marina Thibeault, Lyra has worked with the Parker Quartet, Sharon Wei, Phillip Ying, and Yvonne Lam. In 2024, they performed at Tuckamore Music Festival, resided as Emerging Artist Fellows at Garth Newel Music Center, and presented works by Shostakovich and Haydn as finalists in the McGill Chamber Music Competition.
