Teaching Philosophy

We are very happy that Hudson is our daughter’s teacher for violin and piano. I really appreciate that he gives the rationale and reasoning behind why things are done a certain way, or why certain details are important. He gives positive feedback and encouragement, and incorporates different aspects into his teaching; teaching not only how to play the instrument, but teaching how to learn, based on contemporary pedagogical approaches and through sharing his own experiences and that of others. As a result, I can see that our daughter's technique and approach to learning have matured since she started lessons with Hudson. Importantly, our daughter enjoys her lessons and finds them stimulating. On a personal level, he is very thoughtful and a person of integrity.
